Why Britney Lost Custody

The Superior Court of California issued an order yesterday that requires Britney Spears to turn her kids over to Kevin Federline by noon on Wednesday (10/03/2007).
One of the questions floating around the Internet is this: “Why did Britney lose custody in the first place?” Well, BritneySpearsWatch.com has the answer for you:
She ignored the Commissioner’s rulings. She partied instead of parented. She pissed off the Commissioner with her refusal to obey his orders, assuming that she’d find a way around them. Obviously, she couldn’t.
In late September, L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered Britney to do a number of things in order to maintain 50/50 custody. That night, Britney was seen drinking at clubs, smiling for cameras, acting as though earlier that day she hadn’t just been smacked down. Maybe that’s her coping method.
Spears was ordered to meet with a drug counselor — she hasn’t done it.
Spears was ordered to submit to drug testing — she hasn’t done it.
Spears was ordered to enroll in parenting classes — she hasn’t done it.
Spears was also required to sign the judge’s order — she didn’t do it.
It’s like Britney was assuming that because she is a celebrity, a very high-profile celebrity, she thought she was immune to the law. It’s Britney, bitches. Remember?
The final straw was last Friday, when Commissioner Gordon prohibited both Britney and K-Fed from driving the children unless they had a valid California driver’s license. Now, Britney DOES have a valid Louisiana license – it expires in 2009. But Commissioner Gordon required the pair to each have a California license, and he was outrageous when TMZ posted video of Britney cavalierly driving her kids around Malibu.
The answer to your question? Britney did everything wrong — by doing nothing.

According to her lawyer, Britney didn’t fail any drug test, she just didn’t take one. What does that mean???? According to the judge, the tests were supposed to be random, so either the court screwed up and forgot to administer it, or Britney refused to take it. Which do you think it is? I truly don’t know, and either explanation would not surprise me. However, I am inclined to think she must have refused, because if the court screwed up, they couldn’t take her kids away for lack of compliance in that regard–and I doubt they would take the kids for that piddly little license thing.
I actually woke up in the middle of the night, thinking about this whole mess (I probably shouldn’t admit how obsessed I am).
