Tours, Trials and Failed Getaways!
The past couple of days have seen Britney out and about in LAW as usual. Yesterday, she tried to pull a fast one on the Paparazzi, though, sneaking into the car with her neighborhood gardener out of her gated community. Her plan was foiled, however, when the paps realized that her body guard was following the truck. She met her mother at the Chinois Beaute Bar, in San Fernando Valley for a spa day. Britney didn’t mind her ruse being foiled, laughing as she got out of the truck as she headed inside to meet her mom.
Speaking of mom - you know that book Lynne Spears has been shoving at us every moment of every day? The latest gossp there is that she thinks we want to see it turned into a movie! The tell-all, Through the Storm, recounts Britney’s problems with alcohol, drugs and sex as a teenager, her rise and fall leading to the current comeback. Reportedly she’s been shopping the idea, and wants Anna Faris to play Britney. Here’s the kicker though - who does she want to play herself? Julia Roberts.
Yeah. That’ll happen.
The driving without a valid license trial started today, since Britney turned down the deal offered last week. They expect the jury selection to begin today, and last for a few days, while the lawyers have already declared that they would appeal any conviction that could come of the trial.
Tour news! Billboard via People reported today that Britney is going to hit the road next spring, which would be her first tour since 2004 and her breakdown. It’s said that it will include dates in the US and abroad, and include material from the new album, Circus, which will be released on December 2, which is also Brit’s 27 birthday.
And of course, since she is looking forward to getting back on stage - Britney wants to be in tiptop shape (and she was certainly shapely in the new video!) and headed back to the dance studio today to work it all out on the dance floor. She’s looking good and feeling good - here’s to hoping it lasts!
And also, that a tour date is in Alaska. I know. Wishful thinking.
