TMZ.com reported this morning on the matter between Dr. Phil and the Spears family:

Jamie and Lynne Spears slammed — and we mean slammed — Dr. Phil this morning, calling the way he handled his contact with Britney a betrayal, inappropriate and a total breach of their trust.

Spears family rep Lou Taylor told Meredith Vieira on the “Today” show that Dr. Phil actually broached the subject of doing a show about Britney, but that they nixed the idea, only to have Phil try to set up the show anyway and even go as far as ADVERTISE the exclusive. Taylor scorched Phil, saying it was even “inappropriate” for Phil to bring up doing a show, and that the family thought it would be detrimental to Britney. (more…)

Despite rumors that Britney Spears is going to be a mom again, her pal Sam Lufti tells People Magazine the singer is not pregnant. Following a cover story published by In Touch magazine, which claims the singer is four weeks pregnant with producer J.R. Rotem’s baby, Lufti said in a text message to People Magazine, “It’s just BS. While lawyers were in two L.A. courthouses yesterday, Monday, arguing over her various driving violations and custody issues, Britney Spears spent her time readying for her next musical move: a new video.

Usmagazine.com has learned that production on the video for her single “Piece of Me�? was scheduled to begin this morning at 8 a.m. at Social Hollywood. A source tells Us that the video will be directed by Wayne Isham, who helmed the video for the 2002 Brit hit, “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.�?

A set source tells Us that since Spears, 25, has a scheduled visit with sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, on Tuesday, she will only be available to film for two hours, between noon and 2 p.m. During that time she will shoot scenes where she dances on a bar and runs down a staircase. There will be 15 extras, as well as a body double for Brit. (more…)

More court documents in the ongoing custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were released Thursday, which revealed some intimate details about their finances.

• Federline, earned more than a half million dollars in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals – but minus business expenses, he only grossed $7,436 that year.

• Spears earns approximately $737,000 per month.

• Federline receives $15,000 a month in child support payments from his ex. (The amount may change, depending on how much more custodial time he ends up getting.) He is entitled to child support payments until Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, become adults, since Spears is the higher earner.

• The documents also reveal that Federline earned $3,300 in royalties in 2006 for his debut song “Popozao.�?

I was just looking back through some old posts that I wrote about Britney, and did I call it or DID I CALL IT?

Back when Britney and Paris were friends, in those first days of crotch-exposing yore, Paris taught Britney how to pole dance. She strapped a blue tutu on Britney, and donned a matching one herself, and they went at it. Nevermind that Paris has a stripper pole installed in her home – that’s neither here nor there – because way back then I predicted that Britney would use her new stripper moves in her next video. Britney.com, Britney’s official site through her record label, Jive Records, recently underwent a design change to promote her Gimme More video premiere.

This redesign goes along with Jive Records’ accouncement that MTV & VH1 will both add the new Gimme More video to its cycle beginning this Monday, October 8, 2007. Considering the possibility of a TRL premiere, I’m wondering if Britney will make an appearance on TRL sometime soon…

In case you didn’t catch Britney’s performance at the 2007 VMAs, I’ve got you covered. (And if you didn’t catch it? You didn’t miss anything. And if you did see it? Tell me: how long were you able to watch before you started groaning in sympathy for Britney? Oh Britney, how far you have fallen. We all had such high hopes.)

There was out-of-synch lip-synching. Lethargic movements that seemed like they were choreographed by a dance instructor for a nursing home. The paunch in place of Britney’s once-taut belly. At times Britney just stopped singing altogether, as if even she knew nothing could save her performance. The camera panned to the audience and showed P. Diddy in complete boredom. I’d totally be lying if I didn’t admit that by the end of Britney’s new song “Cold As Fire,” I was dancing in my chair. Dancing. In My Chair. It’s true - don’t be shocked, and what’s more, I think this song will be on my iPod playlist soon. If it got me dancing the first time I heard it, it’s bound to be perfect for the gym, don’t you think?

In “Cold as Fire,” Britney practically advertises herself as a sex goddess. It’s got a solid beat, and while some of the lyrics should be considered “adult,” it didn’t stop me from replaying the song again. Well, okay, four times. But don’t tell anyone, promise? (more…)

Britney’s new song, Gimme More, has been heating up the air waves and lurking in all corners of the Internet. You’ve probably heard it, even if you haven’t realized it. And just in case you haven’t realized it, I’m posting it for your convenience. Because I love you. Unless you hate the song, and then I must hate you. You choose.

The song starts with “It’s Britney, bitch.” It’s a little breath-y, has a good club beat, and I have to admit that it’s not completely horrible. It’s not enough to make me buy the CD, either, but whatever. I don’t own any of the others, so I suppose that’s not really a surprise. (more…)

After a day of frolicking at Malibu beach in just her underwear, Britney Spears has started work on her first music video in almost two years.

True to form, when she stepped out of an LA warehouse between takes, there was again no shortage of skin on display - her tiny black dress barely covered herself. I’m curious to see how this video turns out, considering Britney’s 2-year absence from the scene and considering she’s wearing almost nothing. Britney Spears Naked: What’s New?

Kevin Federline visits Britney Spears at Promises Rehab Center in Malibu. Kevin Federline makes his way to the Promises Rehab facility in Malibu to visit his ex-wife Britney Spears. Federline drove himself in his truck and was accompanied by a police car as he drove up into the hills to visit his popstar ex-wife.
