Gotta admit the song is catchy as hell, and I like the video too -it’s classic Britney, the Britney we fell in love with! What do you think?

America’s favorite poptart, Britney Spears, has released her newest video.

Pieces of Me is a paparazzi-themed song and dance, and I have to admit: I love the mocking tone of it.

Britney appears in this video with several “doubles” and works her way through a variety of rumors and pompous remarks about herself.

I think that Pieces of Me is certainly better than her trainwreck video for Gimme More.

More court documents in the ongoing custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were released Thursday, which revealed some intimate details about their finances.

• Federline, earned more than a half million dollars in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals – but minus business expenses, he only grossed $7,436 that year.

• Spears earns approximately $737,000 per month.

• Federline receives $15,000 a month in child support payments from his ex. (The amount may change, depending on how much more custodial time he ends up getting.) He is entitled to child support payments until Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, become adults, since Spears is the higher earner.

• The documents also reveal that Federline earned $3,300 in royalties in 2006 for his debut song “Popozao.�?

Oh Perez, when will you learn? Don’t you know that celebrities are serious about protecting their work?

It’s true: Perez Hilton is facing yet another lawsuit, and this one comes courtesy of Britney Spears’ record label Zomba, which accuses Perez of illegally obtaining and uploading on his gossip site at least 10 completed songs and several incomplete demos from her new CD “Blackout.”

Zomba is suing for copyright infringement, but no word on how much money they are asking for. (more…)

Y’all. I have some big news. Big news about Britney. And her career. And her music. Can you guess what it is?

Yes, it has something to do with her long awaited upcoming album, Blackout.

(What? You didn’t know it had been titled? Because it has been. According to Britney’s label, Jive Records, the title of the album “refers to blocking out negativity and embracing life fully” — and here I was, thinking it had to do with a drug overdose. Britney.com, Britney’s official site through her record label, Jive Records, recently underwent a design change to promote her Gimme More video premiere.

This redesign goes along with Jive Records’ accouncement that MTV & VH1 will both add the new Gimme More video to its cycle beginning this Monday, October 8, 2007. Considering the possibility of a TRL premiere, I’m wondering if Britney will make an appearance on TRL sometime soon…

L.A. County Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon issued an order today stating that Kevin Federline, the father of Britney Spears’ two sons, “is to retain physical custody of the minor children on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 12:00 PM until further order of the court.�?

Britney’s tagline of her latest song, Gimme More, is starting to make more and more sense to me. At first I thought that Britney was just introducing herself at the beginning of the song. But she wasn’t: she was prophesizing about herself. She wasn’t just saying, “I’m here to rock this song.” Rather, she was proclaiming, “I’m here to rock this industry.”

Britney Spears has no one to blame but herself! No big surprise here! Britney Spears was not prepared for her MTV performance. New York Post reports that she even showed up late for her big comeback late, and with a drink in her hand.

On Saturday, the day before the VMAs, Spears was scheduled to arrive at rehearsal at around 1 p.m. A spy said, “She didn’t even get to Las Vegas until 4:30 p.m. It was ridiculous . . . The production people at MTV were freaking out . . . Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her. She is a mess.�?

To make matters worse, when she arrived in Vegas, Spears didn’t go straight to rehearsals. “She went to her hotel room and ordered a bunch of food and some frozen margaritas,�? the spy said. “She came down, like, an hour later with a frozen margarita in her hand.�?

“The dance number was spectacular - without her,�? said our spy at rehearsal. “When the stand-in was rehearsing with the dancers, in the hours they were all waiting for her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything. The dancers were supposed to lift and twirl her in the air a few times, and that just wasn’t going to happen. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn’t do them.�?

We already knew that Britney Spears reportedly broke down in tears after her horrid performance at the VMAs. Word is, though, that rather than hide out in her hotel room, she decided to hit the clubs.

And what better way to ensure the attention of the paparazzi than to head out sans underwear. Again. It might just be me, but I’m thinking that the paps must be saying, “Oh. There’s Britney showing her junk again. Nothing new there.” and go about their business of photographing other celebrities. Preferably, those who are clothed. (more…)
