Britney Spears Watch

Yahoo! News just reported that Britney Spears was ordered today to surrender custody of her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline by Wednesday, October 3, 2007.

Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled that Kevin Federline will take custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, beginning Wednesday, October 3, 2007 “until further order of the court.”

Earlier this month, the judge said that Britney Spears engaged in “habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol” and ordered her to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody dispute.

Britney was also ordered to meet weekly with a “parenting coach” who was to observe and report back to the court about her parenting skills. Both Britney Spears and Kevin Federline must complete the court’s “Parenting Without Conflict” class. There is no word yet whether Britney and Kevin have begun their classes or whether they will be required to meet together as part of the “Parenting Without Conflict” course.

Britney Spears, 25, and Kevin Federline, 29, were wed in October 2004 and had a tumultous marraige. Britney filed for divorce November 2006 and the divorce was finalized in July 2007. The two have joint custody of their young sons, but Kevin Federline is seeking a greater share of custody. Today, that greater share was at least partly realized.

Since Britney’s attorney has quit the case, it seems like Britney’s chances of getting her children back are dwindling. She’s going to need to clean up her act, complete the required parenting courses and prove herself to the court if she wants to be involved in the lives of her children.

I’m certain that today’s ruling must be a difficult blow for Britney.

Uhhhhh…did I miss something? Last night, Britney Spears was spotted wearing an engagement ring, which really doesn’t make sense because the last time I checked, she wasn’t dating anyone. Boy, howdy. If Britney wasn’t in trouble before, she is now. (How many times in a month can I say that? It seems like something new has been coming to light each day about Britney, and I don’t know what percentage of these rumors are true, but there are A LOT of them.)

This time, it came by word from Britney Spears’ former bodyguard, Tony Barretto. He gave a statement to “News Of The World�? (Uh, how much was he paid for that “statement”?) accusing Britney with some serious allegations. Namely, that he believes Britney was under the influence of drugs and alcohol while with her children. (Which may be a contributing factor to the judge’s ruling last week.)

“She went on a date with musician Day, 26—who she’d met in rehab—telling her worried protection team she didn’t need them. We did security checks on Howie and told her he was trouble. But she ignored us.

“Hours later hysterical Britney called aides, claiming Day was refusing to let her leave their hotel room. She said she wanted to cancel the tour. She was very confused. We asked her if she was OK and reminded her she had a show to do. Then Howie came on the phone and started arguing with us. We knew we had to get to her fast.” (more…)

She already has two children, and now she’s learning how to parent them. This week, in an order handed down by the court, Britney Spears got the court-ordered version of a slap in the face. According to court documents, Britney must:

• Undergo random drug and alcohol testing TWICE each week
• Refrain from drinking alcohol or using drugs around her two sons or for 12 hours before she cares for them
• Meet with a “parenting coach” for eight hours a week (the coach will observe and report back to the court about Britney’s parenting skills)
• Cease “making derogatory remarks” about Kevin Federline in the presence of her children
• Stop “using corporal punishment” (most commonly known as spanking, I had to look that one up) to discipline her children
• Complete the court’s “Parenting Without Conflict” class

I was preparing my character for a role in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my roles very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn’t get the part.

So. We all know Kevin Federline can’t rap. KEVIN knows he can’t rap. (Why else would he try to get so much money from Britney? He knows he doesn’t have the skillz to make it himself!) But this must make him feel really low.

Another wannabe has started rapping, one that we might hate MORE than we hate Kevin Federline. (Well, more than we hated Kevin before Britney started acting all crazy. Now we kinda like him. Now we kinda think he’s the sane one of the ex-couple. But remember how much you USED to hate Kevin? Back when he was that greasy guy who kept screwing up Britney’s career? Back when he was that guy who wore SOCKS with FLIP-FLOPS? Thank goodness he’s over that phase and has moved on in our hearts. Just in time for someone else to replace him.)

I’m talking about Spencer Pratt, folks. Spencer Pratt of MTV’s hit reality show The Hills (it’s okay to admit that you watch it, I do too, and I think that it’s delicious). Wait! Don’t run away! I know that we all hate Spencer. He’s an ass, there’s no other way to say it, it’s just that plain and simple and OBVIOUS. Except to Heidi Montag, his fiancee, though I’m hoping that by the end of the season she’ll realize it, too. I think she actually does realize it, but maybe she is contractually obligated to keep dating him or something. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself, BECAUSE HOW COULD SHE NOT KNOW THAT HE’S A JERK?

Ahem. Anyway. Heidi is trying to start a singing career, she says she’s “a performer” (like Britney Spears? Eeeek! We all know where THAT leads), and she’s got a track out. And on this track, Spencer Pratt is rapping.

Now, before you break down into hysterical fits of laughter, I think you should listen to the duo because they’re actually GOOD. And I hate to admit that, because as much as I don’t want to like Heidi, and as much as I want to HATE Spencer, I was kind of surprised that I wasn’t picking my eardrums out of my skull with a fork by the time the song was over.

A topless Britney Spears got down and dirty in a hotel pool with her former assistant Shanon Funk. According to pals, the ladies cleared the hotel pool of other guests so they could enjoy kissing and fondling each other. Britney’s wild behavior followed her topless romping with video extra Matt Encinias in the same LA hotel.

According to the highly reputable Star Magazine, the battle between Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, is getting more heated by the minute – fueled by what sources claim is Brit’s shocking new accusation that her mom slept with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

“In a fit of rage, Britney accused her mom of sleeping with Kevin!�? a friend tells Star. “Britney doesn’t know up from down right now. She’s so confused and angry, she told Lynne that she was so backstabbing, that she was probably sleeping with Kevin just to hurt her feelings. Lynne, on the other hand, is deeply hurt that her own daughter would so viciously accuse her of doing something so terrible.�?

Life&Style Weekly reported that Britney Spears may have hoped for a quiet retreat when she took her two boys, 10-month-old Jayden James, and Sean Preston, 22 months, to the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas for a few days. But now, an insider tells Life & Style, that it sure hasn’t turned out that way!

An insider close to Brit’s estranged hubby Kevin Federline claims that Britney broke her custody agreement with their dad, Kevin, when she took the boys away from LA without written permission.

That was the final straw for Kevin! His lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, ordered Britney on July 26 to bring the children back to Los Angeles immediately.

Britney Spears could be about to churn out yet another child. According to reports, the singer is pregnant with her third child but unfortunately for Britney, she’s not quite sure who the father is. A close source reportedly told NW magazine, the 25-year-old has been gushing to her inner circle: ‘I’m pregnant’.

The source claims: ‘She’s been secretly filling her pals in on the good news since last week.’ ‘Britney is in shock herself, this definitely wasn’t planned.’ ‘She’s thrilled just the same.’ Two would-be father’s on shortlist could be former lover and drug counsellor, John Sundahl, or according to some her bodyguard, Daimon Shippen.
