Who needs a duet with Justin Timberlake when you can have one with Oscar The Grouch? Yes, you heard me correctly. The Daily Star is claiming that Britney Spears will sing a duet with Oscar The Grouch in an upcoming episode of Sesame Street. Sources are hoping that this could possibly help clean up Britney’s image.

Oh Perez, when will you learn? Don’t you know that celebrities are serious about protecting their work?

It’s true: Perez Hilton is facing yet another lawsuit, and this one comes courtesy of Britney Spears’ record label Zomba, which accuses Perez of illegally obtaining and uploading on his gossip site at least 10 completed songs and several incomplete demos from her new CD “Blackout.”

Zomba is suing for copyright infringement, but no word on how much money they are asking for. (more…)

You *knew* it had to come out at some point. I mean, other celebrities have had similar scandals. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Lauren Conrad, Shannen Doherty, Kim Kardashian. (And that’s just from my memory – imagine if I actually researched it!) Some celebrities vehemently denied the rumors. Others embraced the rumors. And still others tried to recover as gracefully as possible once the rumor was confirmed and the evidence hit the market.

So…what do all those women have in common?

When reports began surfacing that Britney had asked her fans to name her new album, I rushed to her official site to see if it was true. Except it wasn’t posted, which made me skeptical. [Editor's Note: Brit's official site has now been updated.]

Then I received an email (I am, afterall, part of her fan club. The free part of her fan club, because why would I pay money? Also, the fan club tips me off to news about her, and for the sake of this site, I need more news about her. Sort of.) with this graphic, asking members of her fan club to vote:

Britney Spears gave the shortest show yet on her “comeback” mini-tour last Thursday night in L.A.– and spies report that none other than Lindsay Lohan was there to catch the action — all 11 minutes of it.

Meanwhile, Britney’s aunt, Chandra McGovern, tells “Inside Edition” that the pop star’s family has been “very disappointed” in Brit’s crotch-flashing, head-shaving, SUV-slugging antics. “It was a rebellion against everybody,” says Aunt Chandra of the bald head.

Lindsay Lohan is denying US press reports suggesting she and Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline are a new item after spending a steamy afternoon together in a Los Angeles hotel.

New tabloid reports claim Federline spent the night with Lohan at the Raffles L’Ermitage hotel in Beverly Hills last week after she phoned him and invited the rapper to join her for a drink.

Sources tell the National Enquirer, “Kevin and Lindsay are dating, and Lindsay made the first move.

“Kevin met Lindsay through Britney, and they were always flirtatious with each other.�?

The insiders claim Federline was invited to “talk business�? with Lohan and he thought the meeting with Lohan would be about a film project.

Lohan reportedly suggested the pair speak in private after Federline turned up with his manager, and then retired to her suite with the newly-divorced father.

The publication claims the couple made love. Lohan denies the story.

Outraged by writings on the state of the fallen friend, Lindsay Lohan publicly told Britney to stop with the scandals.

“Brit, lately I have been hearing so much about you in the media, of your addiction, attempted suicide, calling yourself the antichrist, but is this really true? I hope no. Britney, I have had many ups and downs like you, but to hook a sheet to the hanging lamp and tie it around your neck is absolutely immoral�?, Lohan told the fallen pop star.

Lindsay Lohan went through a period of alcohol rehabilitation in the Los Angeles Wonderland Clinic, and has confessed she was then on the edge and that the rehab saved her life.

This is still unconfirmed, but we just received a tip that Britney Spears is at an office building in West Hollywood RIGHT NOW (9119 Sunset Blvd, which is near the Chateau Marmont, where another source told PerezHilton.com Britney was at earlier today).

Spears it apparently at the law office of Barry Tarlows (a defense attorney) wearing her 2 dollar blonde wig with a brown hat and some brown haired assistant-looking girl.

No clue what she’s doing there.

Update: Britney is reportedly “flipping out” because Kevin Federline won’t let her see their two boys, sources tell us.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Britney Spears has lawyered up again — this time, she met with the lawyer who represented Mel Gibson in his DUI case.

Sources say Spears went this morning to meet with Blair Berk, a prominent criminal defense lawyer whose roster of clients includes Lindsay Lohan, Halle Berry, Tracy Morgan and others.

We do not know why Spears chose to meet with Berk, although it’s unlikely it has anything to do with her divorce. In her divorce case, Spears is repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser.

Spears could have met with Berk on a civil matter, as Berk handles both civil and criminal matters. Interestingly, Berk once repped Reese Witherspoon in her battle with hard-driving paparazzi. It’s possible Spears went to Berk for similar reasons.

Less than 48 hours after grabbing the world’s attention by shaving off all her hair, Britney Spears has been seen partying in a blonde wig.

The troubled singer wore a cheap Marilyn Monroe-style hairpiece to cover her newly shaven head as she drank cocktails at the exclusive Polo Lounge, before going to a karaoke night in Los Angeles nightclub Roxy.

Onlookers said the 25-year-old visited the toilets several times with friends but her good mood darkened when the DJ played one of her biggest hit singles, ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time.’

A source revealed: “Britney was enjoying herself until the DJ put her song ‘Hit Me Baby.’ onto the karaoke machine. She ignored pleas to perform the song and, with a face like thunder, she stormed out.”
