Thursday, the paparazzi were surprised to see the flipflop in Papa Spears and Britney’s relationship, if only briefly, as Britney accompanied Jamie to a doctor’s appointment in Hollywood. As they were there, the buzz mounted with the excited speculation that Britney might be hitting the stage next to Madonna that night! Word was that Justin and Britney would be making cameo’s at Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet tour at Dodger Stadium.

The rumors were true!

During the fourth song, Britney appeared on stage behind Madonna, looking fantastic as they collaborated on “Human Nature”. One of the concert goers told the press that it was a completely different Britney then we saw a year ago. “She was glowing! It looked like she actually wanted to be on the stage!” Ex-boyfriend Justin made his appearance as promised as well, joining Madonna for their song “4 Minutes” which got the high profile crowd singing along.

Also on Thursday, news came that Britney was not going to star as the Virgin Mary after all.
(Um, scuse me while I giggle a moment, because really? REALLY people? HAHAAHAHAH!)

According to FOX Pop Tarts, the role was right but the timing is wrong. Britney loved the script, and is aided by the fact that she’s not nearly as scandalous in Europe, but in the end, the producers of the film “Sweet Baby Jesus” decided in agreement with Britney that now is not the right time.

That seemed to be the only low spot in the weekend though, as after the big night at Dodger’s Stadium, Britney was allowed to take the boys home to Louisiana for the the first time since giving up full custody to ex-hubby K-Fed! Britney, Sean Preston and Jayden James were seen arriving in Kentwood Louisiana early Friday morning. Papa Spears and brother Bryan were along, as Mama Spears greeted the family at the airport excitedly. Insiders say they will spend a whole week back home, letting the boys get to know their cousin Maddie Briann and reconnect with Aunt Jamie Lynn!

Thinks keep getting better and better for Britney - and we couldn’t be happier for her!

For the last six weeks, Britney Spears has essentially been grounded by her daddy, Jamie Spears, in a desperate measure to save her life. Of course, there are worse places to be holed up than her $7.2 million, 7,400-square-foot Mediterranean-style villa in Studio City.

As part of her dad’s restrictions, the 26-year-old is no longer allowed to hit the night clubs in L.A., hang out with her paparazzi pals or make frequent, erratic stops at gas stations, fast-food joints and public bathrooms. A friend of the the singer tells OK! that Brit recently snuck a text message to them saying, “I’m so bored. I hate my life.”

Now, a typical day with Britney includes spending hours alone in her bedroom, which a frequent visitor to the home tells OK! is “like a princess’ room with several walk-in closets and a spa tub, plus a long counter where she used to keep all her wigs.”

Jamie, who stays in a room downstairs, leaves his daughter alone when she’s in her private suite. And since she’s no longer allowed to go out, the pop star now spends hours in front of the mirror trying on different outfits. (more…)

Who needs a duet with Justin Timberlake when you can have one with Oscar The Grouch? Yes, you heard me correctly. The Daily Star is claiming that Britney Spears will sing a duet with Oscar The Grouch in an upcoming episode of Sesame Street. Sources are hoping that this could possibly help clean up Britney’s image.

“It’s a chance to prove she can be a wholesome girl.�?

Do you remember the rumors floating around that Justin Timberlake and Timbaland were willing to help Britney with her comeback?

At first I didn’t think the rumor was true, and then the NY Post ran a report about it, which made me re-think my stance on rumors. Maybe there’s something to them, afterall.

You see, word is out that Jive, Britney Spears’ record label, had a big comeback planned for Britney. They had coordinated with Sexyback singer JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, and Britney’s hot ex that she never should have let go in the first place, as well as producer TIMBALAND to record a song with Britney. It would be a duet for JT and Brit, a song that Justin had supposedly written for Britney. And Britney backed out. (more…)

Britney’s former loverboy, Justin Timberlake, has just announced that he will be starting his own record label. The new label, a joint venture with Interscope Records will be called Tennman Records. Justin will serve as Chairman and CEO of the label, with Ken Komisar, former Sony BMG vice-president, appointed as president of Tennman. The label will be based in Los Angeles and distributed worldwide by Interscope Geffen A&M. Signings to the label will be announced in the coming weeks.

“We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries,” said Timberlake.

You gotta hand it to JT, he is a successful class act. After he and Britney split, his track-record has included platinum albums, acting in movies, former flame Cameron Diaz, current flame Jessica Biel and now a record label? All without managing to royally screw something up. What can’t this guy do?

There are new fears for troubled Britney Spears after she was reportedly seen downing shots of booze after a disastrous comeback gig. The singer, who recently spent time in rehab, enjoyed a wild party in Miami into the early hours of the morning. She hit Mansion in South Beach at about 2.15am before heading to SET for an all-night bash.

Here Britney downed “Purple Hooter shots - part vodka, Chambord and 7-Up”, according to the Miami Herald, an American newspaper. The Herald provided further details about Britney’s antics at the club: “She asked the DJ to play Bob Sinclair’s Hold On, Fergie’s Glamorous and ‘anything by Nelly Furtado”.

“She was doing lots of shots and dancing around like a crazy lady, she’s definitely back on the scene.” Earlier that night Britney performed a rather shambolic gig at Mansion. And we’re told the DJ belted out Justin Timberlake’s new tune Summer Love the minute she walked off stage.

After her gig Brit headed to the Raleigh Hotel in a skimpy black bikini at about 1am for a dip in their pool. Then she went back to Mansion, wearing a red bandana dress and fedora to cover her blonde hair extensions.

SET was her final destination, where she stayed in the VIP room, which has a huge glass window overlooking the crowd, until 5am.

A “hurt and angry” Britney Spears is reportedly writing a tell-all book about her exes, Kevin Federline and Justin Timberlake.

A source says Justin, in particular, “will be pissed” when he hears about the yet to be published autobiography.

“Britney blames most of her problems with drugs and alcohol on the heartache she experienced years before, during her time with Justin - she couldn’t trust him … She believes he constantly lied to her about other girls and that destroyed her self-esteem … She also felt he became mean toward the end of their relationship, she said he called her fat and told her she’d need to lose weight before he would have sex with her.”

“Stage mum” Lynne won’t get off lightly either.

“She’ll say Lynne’s money hungry and that she was just along for the free ride. Britney thinks of her as a meddling, smothering person and blames her for her messy marriages.”

Justin Timberlake was so concerned about Britney Spears, who entered rehab in February, that he reached out to her, he has revealed. “I called her because I worried about her,” Timberlake, 26, said recently at a press day for his new movie Shrek The Third. But Spears, who checked out of Malibu’s Promises treatment center in March after nearly a month, is on the right track, Timberlake said.

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears reportedly are going into the studio this week to re-record the Motown classic, “You’re All I Need To Get By” — a song made famous by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell in 1968.

Timbaland will produce the song, and fans everywhere will be praying for a spark of romance to arise between the two former flames.

Justin Timberlake says don’t read too much into this. Just because he wants to help her get her career back on track, it doesn’t mean he and Britney Spears are rekindling any old flame. He reportedly left messages of support for her while she was in rehab and even wrote her a really sweet letter of encouragment, but he’s firm about any plans on them getting back together. He says that part of his life is over. And it looks like whatever he had going on with Scarlett Johansson is over, too. She told Vogue that she and JT had fun, but they were just hanging out.

Hollywood.com reported that Britney Spears’ rumored new rocker boyfriend has spoken out about his romance with the star, admitting he is “growing very close�? to the troubled pop singer.

Riva guitarist Jason Filyaw, 33, reportedly met Britney during an Alcoholics Anonymous session and it was love at first sight.

And now Filyaw tells TMZ.com, “I love her, I support her 100 percent and we are close.�?

The rocker adds he’s hoping to give Britney, who is currently in rehab in Malibu, California, “deep�? and “spiritual�? assistance as she battle substance abuse.

Filyaw isn’t a new face in Britney’s life – the 33-year-old rocker recorded music with Britney in 2003.

My question: how will this affect Britney’s reconciliation with Justin Timberlake? I’m still holding out hope!

Hollywood.com reported that Justin Timberlake has poured out his feelings to Britney Spears in a heartfelt letter sent to the pop star in rehab, according to reports.

A week after Spears’ ex called Promises rehab facility in Malibu, California, to offer his support to the troubled singer, he has now put his thoughts on paper.

A Spears source tells Life & Style magazine that the singer was moved to tears as she read Timberlake’s letter, in which he offered to be there for her when she completes her stint in rehab.

The insider says, “She could barely catch her breath to read the words. It was one of the most moving letters she had ever received.

“He poured his heart out. He told her he was sorry they fell in love so young, because if they’d fallen in love even just a few years later, he would’ve married her–and they’d probably have kids together by now.

“Justin let Britney know that she has his unconditional love and support. He offered to come visit her in rehab.�?
