JC Chasez has come to Britney’s defense again by calling for everyone to leave Britney alone, amidst claims that she’s on the verge of a breakdown.

The former *N Sync star, who will soon release the follow-up to his 2004 debut solo album, chatted to MTV News’s Tim Kash down at London Fashion Week, lending his support to his former bandmate’s former sweetheart. “This poor girl is in the middle of a divorce!�? Said Chasez. He continued, saying:

“There is no denying it.

“I’ve known her since she was 12 years old. She is one of the sweetest people you have ever met. She has a heart of gold. A divorce at 25 is never going to be easy.

“The one person that she trusted more than anybody in the world now, is not with her. It’s a transition and I genuinely feel bad for her. I mean sure she goes out with a beer and cigarette in her hand and everybody flips out. She is 25 kids! It’s not illegal.�?

While most of the music industry (including her exes Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline) was prepping for the Grammys last weekend, Britney Spears, 25, was in New York, on her way to earning the award for Hardest Partying Solo Artist (HPSA).

As reported by this site earlier this week, JC Chasez defended Britney ON AIR in a radio interview. Below is a transcript of what JC had to say:

“She still is [the sweetest, nicest girl], man. She’s got a great heart. She’s going through something very difficult right now. I don’t care who you are, divorces are never easy. [They're] never easy with two children involved. It’s not easy [when everybody's watching every move she makes]; you can’t be human. And the fact of the matter is I know plenty of 25-year-olds and 26-year-olds who are going out every night and [Britney's] not even going out every night! And for the last two years, she hasn’t been able to do anything because she’s had two kids within the past two years. So, you’re talking about somebody who’s 25 now who has not really left their house, really, and hasn’t had any kind of freedom or liberties in the last two years. She’s going through one of the most difficult processes in your life and that’s a divorce. People are definitely shaking the finger at her going, “I can’t believe you didn’t wear underwear because da da da…” and I’m telling you right now she’s not the only girl in the world [who doesn't wear underwear]. We’ve all made mistakes. If that is the worst mistake she makes, I think she’s in good shape. … She’s given a lot of people in this world a reason to be happy with her music. She’s made a lot of people happy, more than most people. She’s already lived a fulfilling life. ”

In a recent interview (Tuesday, January 30th) with 93.3 KISS FM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, former *NSYNC star JC Chasez had a lot to say about life, music, and other celebrities.
