Britney Spears Watch

Back in the US after her tour finished in the UK, Britney decided to get a new ‘do - emerging on Saturday as a brunette! Now, it makes us go “uh oh” just a little bit, as the first steps to her downfall a couple of years ago was messing with her hair, but at least this time it’s something simple and well - she looks pretty damn good as a brunette. What do you think?

The tour will resume with more US dates, as well as some in Australia, as the Circus continues. Maybe it’s headed to a town near you again!

In the meantime, Brit is looking FIERCE - toned and happy as she wanders about with her agent/boyfriend Jason Trawick. She’s even up to some of her old Paparazzi Teasing pics - sporting a big ole ring that looked suspiciously engagement like for a day or two.

Shortly before 1 a.m. on November 18, Britney Spears entered the X-rated Hustler Store in West Hollywood. Spears loaded up on naughty skivvies and headed to the fitting rooms. But store employees “told her they don’t allow people to try on underwear,�? a source at the scene says. “She was really upset.�?

Adds the source: “She looked out of it. There was nothing going on behind her eyes.�? At that point, Spears threw a fit, and took off her own underwear before trying on a pair of boyshorts (with “Barely Legal’ stitched across the rear end) in the middle of the store while 15 other customers looked on. More court documents in the ongoing custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were released Thursday, which revealed some intimate details about their finances.

• Federline, earned more than a half million dollars in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals – but minus business expenses, he only grossed $7,436 that year.

• Spears earns approximately $737,000 per month.

• Federline receives $15,000 a month in child support payments from his ex. (The amount may change, depending on how much more custodial time he ends up getting.) He is entitled to child support payments until Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, become adults, since Spears is the higher earner.

• The documents also reveal that Federline earned $3,300 in royalties in 2006 for his debut song “Popozao.�?

We’ve seen plenty of Britney wearing wigs, weave and whatever else — but we haven’t seen her natural hair. Almost two months ago I suggested several different styles Britney could wear without resorting to extensions or wigs, styles that would look classy and cute.

Though she has yet to go public with her own hair, and I really wish that she would, we’ve still managed to obtain pics taken of her sans scarf, sans wig, sans extensions, sans ballcap. (more…)

Brit has gone to new lenghts, quite literally, with dark extensions and a bottle of dye.

In my expert opinion, her new look is trashy. I think she should get blonde highlights and wear her hair funky and short - it has grown out long enough that she can do it - rather than continue to get weaves.

Britney dyed her hair brunette over the weekend, y’all. And I have to say: I think it was a good move. Afterall, her roots are growing in dark, and with the weave she’s sporting, she needs something to help cover it up. I can’t wait until she drops the extensions and just wears her hair short. I think it will be really cute on her! Using the makeover program at iVillage, I’ve styled her hair a few different ways. Which is your favorite?

Britney was out and about in Studio City yesterday, where she was photographed on her way into the nail salon.

I think she looks cute here - and definitely like she’s lost the baby weight that was plaguing her for so long. I hope that she’s happy! I love her hair bandana. I keep having to remind myself that she shaved her head, which is why she’s wearing these bandanas (to cover the weave). Cute!

Brit is still practicing her moves, and was photographed recently heading into Millennium Dance Complex with her son, Sean Preston. (UPDATE: Still no word on Jayden James. That baby is in hiding out with the nanny.)

I think Brit looks cute here, in a very exercisey, not-trying-to-impress-anyone way. I love those olive-toned warm up pants and her tattoos peeking out from beneath them (no - really. I think it looks sexy). What I don’t get, however, is that skull and crossbones bandana. Wha? I suppose it’s to hide her weave.

Britney Spears, who has been hiding her shaved head under a wig recently, has asked her dancers to go bald too. One of the dancers on Britney’s comeback tour tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Britney asked her four blonde dancers, “Would y’all cut your hair?” The dancers may have though Brit was joking since none of them got their hair cut.

The dancer, Criscilla Crossland, says that Britney looks “so good” that she could model her bald head. She also adds that two of the songs off of Brit’s upcoming album are “amazing.”

I’m not sure whether Brit was serious about asking her dancers to shave their heads, but one thing is for sure - with all this hype about Britney’s new album, it better be DAMN good.

MTV reported that most fans who held coveted tickets to Britney Spears’ first show in three years entered the House of Blues on Tuesday with the simplest of hopes — that the recently rehabbed pop star would be there with them.

They heard all the rumors. They woke up to erroneous claims by gossip Web sites and local media that the not-so-secret show — billed as the M+M’s — was off. Even when Britney’s tour bus arrived at the venue, there was still the chance that she might pull the plug at the last minute, as she did at an L.A. club last week. Warnings from venue staff that the show might only last a few minutes didn’t help bolster confidence, either.

Would she sing live or lip-synch, debut new material or stick with the old? None of that was of much concern. All that mattered to the diehards was their chance to see the enigmatic superstar in the flesh. Not much to ask, especially for those who paid upward of $200 for scalped tickets online.

At around 10 p.m. — three hours after doors opened — their hopes were realized. Lip-synching to a backing track of “… Baby One More Time,�? Spears took the stage in a long brown wig, silver beaded bra, pleated white miniskirt and white boots. Her body newly toned and her smile beaming, she looked every bit like a woman who had emerged from her quarter-life crisis stronger than yesterday.

It is rumored that X17 Online reported this weekend that Britney has new hair. She got natural-looking, light brown hair extensions that are about two inches below her shoulders.

I couldn’t find that exact report, but I did find a pic of Britney out and about this weekend, drinking NAKED juice and smiling for the paparazzo. Brit looks happy - really, honest-to-goodness happy.

Looking more fabulous than ever, Britney Spears watched the LA Lakers play Houston Rockets for a short time yesterday.

The recently rehabbed pop princess arrived at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles last Friday, appearing diminutive in the company of her two massive bodyguards. She, however, looked elegant despite being curiously attired in blue jeans split at the bottom, a long brown overcoat with a brown and yellow check hat.

She stayed just long enough to be photographed sitting in her seat and then took off, grabbed a 30 minute meal at Bridge bar/restaurant (must be her favourite new place) and headed back to her Hollywood Hills home.

Evidently, Britney is making it her mission to let us and the media know that she’s doing much better, because she was seen at another LA Lakers game (vs. Sacramento Kings) on Sunday wearing a Lakers jersey (a la Kobe Bryant) as a dress.

Brit’s been fond of wigs lately, but we finally got a look at her own hair on Sunday, which was peeking out from underneath a brunette wig.

The UK Herald has printed astonishing reports about the hours before Britney’s attempted suicide.

I’m not sure how seriously I can take these reports, since (a) they seem a little far-fetched and (b) okay, fine, really far-fetched.

Still, it’s a decently interesting read, and news on Britney is kind of slow right now, so I’ve agreed to re-post it here.

Britney has been in rehab for the past seven days (good for you, Brit!), but was all smiles when paparazzi caught up with her last night. The Poplette took her first field trip (that we know of) last night.

Where did she go?

To an ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS meeting in Santa Monica!

I think it’s wonderful that Britney was smiling and looking so happy - and dare I say - even happy to see the paparazzi?

She was dressed in typical Britney style: blue jeans that hit at her hip and were a bit snug (her body looks great!), a short-cut beige top that showed her midriff, and an olive padded jacket. She wore a brunette wig under a thirties style tweed cap and carried a white and blue floral clutch.

Her left hand peeked out from beneath the padded jacket and revealed ink drawings all over it – Britney’s been doodling on her hand! The drawings included the word “PUSH,” which may be a reminder to Britney to push through her illness, to push herself to get healthy for her career and (most importantly) for her children!

US Weekly reports Shar Jackson, Kevin Federline’s ex-girlfriend, and mother of two of his children, is speaking out to squash rumors that she and Federline are secretely dating again. Folks got suspicious when Jackson was spotted visiting Kevin’s home this past weekend.
