More court documents in the ongoing custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were released Thursday, which revealed some intimate details about their finances.

• Federline, earned more than a half million dollars in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals – but minus business expenses, he only grossed $7,436 that year.

• Spears earns approximately $737,000 per month.

• Federline receives $15,000 a month in child support payments from his ex. (The amount may change, depending on how much more custodial time he ends up getting.) He is entitled to child support payments until Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, become adults, since Spears is the higher earner.

• The documents also reveal that Federline earned $3,300 in royalties in 2006 for his debut song “Popozao.�

LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears defended her parenting and chastised her critics, lamenting “how cruel our world can be,” in a brief interview on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Wednesday.

Spears, always photographed but rarely interviewed these days, also spoke about her new album “Blackout” during the seven-minute talk, during which she giggled frequently as her assistant, Alli Sims, and friend, Sam Lufti, laughed and shouted in the background.

When “American Idol” host, who has a morning radio show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, asked Spears if she was doing all she could for her children, Spears replied, “Oh God yeah.”

“People say what they want and do what they do and it’s sad how people, how cruel our world can be,” she said. “At the end of the day … you’ve just got to know in your heart that you’re doing the best you can and that’s basically it.” (more…)

Britney Spears arrived at the Beverly Hills Hotel Wednesday for her first Parenting Without Conflict session.

“She’s not nervous, she’s actually looking forward to it,” says a source close to the former princess of pop.

Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, was reportedly at the hotel as well, which totally makes since because the court ordered them both to take the class. And I doubt the court is about to conduct the class twice, just so they don’t have to see each other. I mean, right? They see each other all the time anyway, what with them having CHILDREN together and everything, so seeing each other in a classroom really isn’t that big of a deal. Or is it? (more…)

Roseanne has become vocal about Britney Spears, and her words aren’t limited to Britney’s parenting skills. Rather, she is quite opinionated about the disservice Lynn Spears has done for her daughter. The open letter was published on Roseanne’s blog and calls for Britney to get clean, get sober, and for Lynn to get her daughter [Britney] “straightened out.” I have to wonder: does Roseanne write and publish this blog, or do assistants do it? Does Roseanne even know what is written here? In any case, here’s what she had to say:

“The judge is trying to teach you a lesson, shut your mouth and learn it! You are a bad mother, and so is your mother! Get your shit together and take care of your kids!! Your mom needs to lock your spoiled ass in the basement or wherever it is that you cannot get anymore drugs. Stop drinking immediately too! If you are too weak to do that, then you are no better than a crack whore on the street, and your mom should stop pimping your ass and do what mom’s do…lock up your kid, and sit there with her for as long as it takes to get her right!!! Get guards around her to sober her up! SIT WITH YOUR KID, MOM! AFTER YOU AND HER DAD PIMPED HER OUT LIKE JON BENET, SIT THERE WITH HER AND STRAIGHTEN HER OUT…THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!! Britney was seen driving around the San Fernando Valley with her two sons on Saturday, which prompted a frenzy over whether her custody had truly been revoked. Without elaborating, her attorney released a simple statement on Sunday announcing that Britney had regained custody. (more…)

Y’all. Us Weekly is reporting that Britney’s visitation with her children has been suspended for violating the judge’s Order somehow. It is not known how Britney has violated the Order, though I have a guess. (See below!)

The order suspending her visitation came a day after Kevin Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, called for an hour-long, ex-parte hearing in Kevin and Britney’s ongoing custody battle.

Lance Bass came out to Britney Spears before he told many of his other friends that he was gay. How did that happen? Well, because he felt bad for her and everything she was going through at the time. Unfortunately, that was the last time they spoke.

In a Q&A session created by GQ, Lance told the story: “It was the night of her first wedding, actually. I was in Vegas with her, her dancers, her manager, and my boyfriend at the time . . . Her manager had already gotten rid of [her first husband] Jason [Alexander] - they’d flown him home.

“Britney was upset about what she had done. I felt bad for her. I knew she was about to go through a lot of crap; I felt the need to share something.” (more…)

Oh Perez, when will you learn? Don’t you know that celebrities are serious about protecting their work?

It’s true: Perez Hilton is facing yet another lawsuit, and this one comes courtesy of Britney Spears’ record label Zomba, which accuses Perez of illegally obtaining and uploading on his gossip site at least 10 completed songs and several incomplete demos from her new CD “Blackout.”

Zomba is suing for copyright infringement, but no word on how much money they are asking for. (more…)

I was just looking back through some old posts that I wrote about Britney, and did I call it or DID I CALL IT?

Back when Britney and Paris were friends, in those first days of crotch-exposing yore, Paris taught Britney how to pole dance. She strapped a blue tutu on Britney, and donned a matching one herself, and they went at it. Nevermind that Paris has a stripper pole installed in her home – that’s neither here nor there – because way back then I predicted that Britney would use her new stripper moves in her next video. Paris Hilton, former party pal of Britney Spears, apparently feels bad for Britney and her custody situation (if you remember, Paris used to LOVE hanging out with Brit’s kiddos). In fact, Paris feels so bad for Britney that she ordered a bouquet of chocolate flowers to be delivered to Britney’s house to try and “cheer her upâ€?.

I don’t know about you, but chocolate flowers always do the trick for me. Forget about a personal visit or phone call from a friend who cares. (more…)

You *knew* it had to come out at some point. I mean, other celebrities have had similar scandals. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Lauren Conrad, Shannen Doherty, Kim Kardashian. (And that’s just from my memory – imagine if I actually researched it!) Some celebrities vehemently denied the rumors. Others embraced the rumors. And still others tried to recover as gracefully as possible once the rumor was confirmed and the evidence hit the market.

So…what do all those women have in common?

Us Magazine reports that today is “hard day” for Britney, but that she’s optimistic about regaining custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

After losing custody of her children, dropping them off with Kevin Federline, tanning, and going to the DMV (to obtain a California driver’s license), Britney Spears checked into Beverly Hills’ Peninsula Hotel last night. Friend Sam Lufti was there with her and says that Britney’s feeling optimistic about regaining custody of her children.

“She is doing OK,” Lufti told Us Magazine. “It has been a rough day. She is feeling very optimistic about the future.”

A source close to Spears said that her optimism comes from the fact yesterday’s decision to give K-Fed custody was merely the result of some scheduling conflicts that kept Spears from taking her court-mandated drug tests. “There were scheduling conflicts and some errors in communication as to times and places for drug tests, etc., but they’re all squared away now,” the source says, continuing, “Britney is hoping the judge will reverse the order Wednesday, now that she is making steps to follow through with what they asked.” (more…)

Well, Britney, I’m not sure I would have taken the same approach as you did when handing over my children. I mean, yes, I’m sure it’s not the last time you’ll see them. And yes, you’d be wise to hire help to get you on the straight-and-narrow (think: attorney, stylist, manager). But did you have to be so unemotional about the whole ordeal? THESE ARE YOUR CHILDREN. IT’S NOT JUST A QUICK HANDOVER TO KEVIN.

UsMagazine.com reported yesterday that Britney Spears isn’t letting the court’s ruling get in the way of her beauty regime. Which, sure, she shouldn’t let herself go. But maybe she could act a little more reserved, a little more sullen, a little more like a PARENT WHO’S LOSING HER CHILDREN TO SOMEONE WHO WEARS TALL ATHLETIC SOCKS WITH HIS FLIP FLOPS. (more…)
