Star Pulse reported that Britney’s “favorite� aunt is urging her niece to quit Hollywood before she ends up dead. Spears, who entered the Promises rehab facility in California in an effort to control unspecified problems on February 20 has terrified her family and aunt Chanda McGovern believes she should move back to her native Louisiana.

McGovern, 32, says “Britney has to sort her priorities out and quickly, before it is too late, otherwise she may end up dead. It is heartbreaking to go from knowing Britney as she was as a child to seeing how she is now, with everything falling apart. It is sad. It has all gone horribly wrong for Britney and I am truly terrified about what might happen to her.

“She needs to come on home to Louisiana where people love Britney for Britney and where they see past all of her fame and celebrity. Out in California, she can’t go to the shops, the movies or a restaurant without a camera in her face, or people watching her every move.�

Britney Spears has confessed to doctors that she has been suffering from the eating disorder bulimia since she was 16. The 25-year-old singer tearfully told rehab staff – already treating her for drug and alcohol abuse – that she “pigs out� on junk food like burgers, sweets, biscuits and ice cream then makes herself vomit to avoid putting on weight.

Hollywood.com reported that Britney got a boost in her recovery efforts when her young sons stopped by her treatment center for an early morning visit on Wednesday.

The singer checked into Promises Residential Treatment Center on Feb. 21 to deal with her substance abuse issues.

And estranged husband Kevin Federline brought the couple’s two children–Sean Preston, 17 months, and Jayden James, six months–to visit their mother.

Federline and his sons left his house in Tarzana, California, in a black Lincoln Navigator Sports Utility Vehicle, outfitted with curtains to ensure privacy, for the 6 a.m. rehab visit.

“Extraâ€? has the all-new reports out of rehab that a lonely Britney Spears is crying herself to sleep at night. Word is that the posh Promises rehab center believes Spears is suffering from post-partum depression. “They’re trying to get her to take anti depressants… but Britney’s being resistant to this,â€? revealed OK magazine’s Editorial Manager Katie Caperton. “They’ve also encouraged her to go to family therapy, but Britney does not want to see her mother and father at this time.â€?

Outraged by writings on the state of the fallen friend, Lindsay Lohan publicly told Britney to stop with the scandals.

“Brit, lately I have been hearing so much about you in the media, of your addiction, attempted suicide, calling yourself the antichrist, but is this really true? I hope no. Britney, I have had many ups and downs like you, but to hook a sheet to the hanging lamp and tie it around your neck is absolutely immoral�, Lohan told the fallen pop star.

Lindsay Lohan went through a period of alcohol rehabilitation in the Los Angeles Wonderland Clinic, and has confessed she was then on the edge and that the rehab saved her life.

Simon Cowell, the famed judge for American Idol, says he has zero sympathy for Britney Spears.

He says her recent meltdown and her trip to rehab are nothing but fashionable indulgences.

Simon told a London tabloid, “It is very fashionable to be in rehab. This whole thing is a total indulgence.” Simon says that Britney and fellow rehabber Robbie Williams both need to get a grip. He says, “We’ve allowed these people to feel sorry for themselves. I don’t know what’s going on in Britney’s head, but my attitude is I couldn’t care less. She should go back and live with her mom for six months.”

Simon also thinks Britney should be forced to spend time with people who have REAL problems. He says he recently visited a deprived part of the world and saw conditions people live in that are beyond belief. He says, “Go to where I just went, where people really are suffering, and then you’ll see just how good your life is.”

The UK Herald has printed astonishing reports about the hours before Britney’s attempted suicide.

I’m not sure how seriously I can take these reports, since (a) they seem a little far-fetched and (b) okay, fine, really far-fetched.

Still, it’s a decently interesting read, and news on Britney is kind of slow right now, so I’ve agreed to re-post it here.

Britney has been in rehab for the past seven days (good for you, Brit!), but was all smiles when paparazzi caught up with her last night. The Poplette took her first field trip (that we know of) last night.

Where did she go?

To an ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS meeting in Santa Monica!

I think it’s wonderful that Britney was smiling and looking so happy - and dare I say - even happy to see the paparazzi?

She was dressed in typical Britney style: blue jeans that hit at her hip and were a bit snug (her body looks great!), a short-cut beige top that showed her midriff, and an olive padded jacket. She wore a brunette wig under a thirties style tweed cap and carried a white and blue floral clutch.

Her left hand peeked out from beneath the padded jacket and revealed ink drawings all over it – Britney’s been doodling on her hand! The drawings included the word “PUSH,” which may be a reminder to Britney to push through her illness, to push herself to get healthy for her career and (most importantly) for her children!

TMZ has learned Britney Spears’ troubles may have little to do with substance abuse. Sources say doctors at her rehab facility think the underlying reason for her trouble may be post-partum depression.

Sources tell TMZ that Britney’s doctors have two operating theories — either that she suffers from post-partum depression or bipolar disorder. The doctors strongly believe post-partum is the problem.
