Britney recently went grocery shopping, where - of course - she was hounded by and surrounded by paparazzi. I’m a little confused by this outfit, though. I mean, I understand that she’s lost a lot of weight. I understand that she’s looking HOTT lately. But why did she dig into her bins of clothing labeled “2001″? I think the last time that shirt and those shorts fit her was pre-pregnancy, pre-Federline, pre-when-her-career-plummeted.

Just sayin’.

Britney Spears seems be having a hard time lately when it comes to keeping her clothes on in front of the paparazzi. Monday, while trying on several outfits at the Beverly Hills store Jill Roberts, and while consulting with her cousin Allie, a naked Britney Spears stepped out of the fitting room. A fitting room that was directly in front of the store entrance, where paparazzi were happily waiting to take her picture.

She still had on panties, but had bared half-naked body before realizing what was happening.

Britney bought a parakeet from a petstore this past Thursday, June 21, 2007. Uncertain how to spend her Summer Solstice, Brit pulled on snow boots and visited her local Hollywood Petco store for the purchase. Next, she’ll be wearing ski trousers with a bikini top. Or a turtleneck with bare feet and hotpants. Just wait and see.

Seam Preston Federline, the first son between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, looks like he’s starting to take after Daddy, yo. He’s got the top down on his very own Cadillac — now all he needs are corn rows and a wife beater tank top.

Britney Spears is a “hot mess� who needs to “stay home with her kids,� an L.A. spy confided. Last weekend, the scantily clad pop tart not only flashed her panties at paparazzi but also let her sundress slip several times, baring her nipples to the cameras.

On Saturday (June 16, 2007) night, Spears went to a bar, Lola’s, where it is rumored that she and two friends downed martinis like water and partied till the wee hours. Spears’ frustrated rep has decided to take a hiatus, but generously declined comment on Britney’s behalf.

Britney is pictured with her friend / dancer Criscilla just hangin’ out. Then later that same night Britney swaps threads just so she can get a few more pictures in.

Britney’s constant changes of clothes during shopping trips and nights out have sparked rumors that she has a deal with a photo agency to enable them to sell more photos - one for each outfit she wears.

Britney spears was spotted over the weekend vacationing in Puerto Vallarta where she “accidentally” flashed her thong.

Though she’s been sweating off her baby-weight by dancing in the studio, and though she’s been looking HOTT and thin when she’s seen in public, these unedited photos show that not EVERYTHING on Brit’s body is toned yet.

Britney was photographed stopping for coffee near her house during Memorial Day weekend, wearing a bikini and cover-up. She’s seen here inside her car, making a bold statement.

What statement? Read the ring. Her hat matched. Now she just needs a second ring that says “OFF.”

Brit is still practicing her moves, and was photographed recently heading into Millennium Dance Complex with her son, Sean Preston. (UPDATE: Still no word on Jayden James. That baby is in hiding out with the nanny.)

I think Brit looks cute here, in a very exercisey, not-trying-to-impress-anyone way. I love those olive-toned warm up pants and her tattoos peeking out from beneath them (no - really. I think it looks sexy). What I don’t get, however, is that skull and crossbones bandana. Wha? I suppose it’s to hide her weave.

TMZ reported that Britney Spears got panned for the quasi-concert she just gave in Miami this weekend, and her harshest critic was none other than Madonna’s brother.

Christopher Ciccone sniffed to a Page Six source that Her Madgesty, his sister, “would never go onstage looking like that.� That, of course, was a tramp-ish get-up including white go-go boots and those ever-problematic hair extensions. Page Six adds that the Miami crowd — full of gay men and trannies – “sneered� at Brit’s look.

Of course, as People reports, it’s not for lack of trying — or shopping — that Britney’s looking so rough on stage. The mag reports that “not ten minutes� after arriving at her hotel, she and pals stopped at stores all over South Beach, even fitting in a little spending — while fans waited to get into the club.

Britney’s stint in rehab has left me scratching my head, wondering whether it was a stunt. She was seen recently partying at Les Deux with her cousins, and by the looks of it, Britney still hasn’t hired a stylist. Britney showed up at Malibu in a leopard-print bra under a midriff-baring sheer red blouse. Her wig, channeling Christina Aguilera in her Dirrrty days, was tucked under a pageboy cap.

Orange reports Is anyone out there still interested in Britney’s comeback gigs? We only ask because the pop princess played in yet another House of Blues venue at the weekend - this time in Las Vegas - but apparently she had trouble filling the venue. According to The Sun, some of the $125 tickets were being offered online for a fiver - while many remained unsold as she took to the stage. Mind you, considering the whole act lasts less than 15 minutes and Britters only lip-synchs her way through shortened remixes of five of her greatest hits, we can understand why people might find something else on which to spend their hard-earned cash in Sin City.

Still, it’s not all bad news for Britney. Apparently, her hair is growing back a treat - with reports suggesting it’s now nearly an inch long beneath her wig. “It’s getting longer and she looks beautiful,� gushes one of the star’s backing dancers. Well, that’s a weight off our minds, isn’t it?

But for now, Britters continues to sport an eclectic array of wig-and-hat combos, just to keep the paparazzi on their toes. On Friday, she was in camouflage gear and jeans. Saturday saw her sporting a long dark wig with ’60s-style headband and white minidress, while getting a spray-tan and shopping for antiques in Los Angeles. Then later that day, she’d opted for the “cross-dressing middle-aged man plays golf� look, with a flatcap, cropped tank-top, black shorts and ankle boots. Oooh - there’s never a dull moment, is there?

Hollywood.com reported that Comeback singer Britney Spears is reportedly furious after topless pictures of her have been leaked online.

In the saucy shots, a grinning Spears poses outside, kneeling on a rock, while holding two flowers over her nipples.

And the singer is furious about the timing of the pictures–she has just embarked on a comeback trail, performing live in a series of comeback gigs this week in California.

A close pal of the singer tells British newspaper The Daily Star, “Britney’s furious these photos have become public. She never dreamed they’d be leaked. She’s concerned the photos will damage her credibility and just make her look trashy.

“She’s concentrating on her career and this draws the focus from her music.�

MTV reported that most fans who held coveted tickets to Britney Spears’ first show in three years entered the House of Blues on Tuesday with the simplest of hopes — that the recently rehabbed pop star would be there with them.

They heard all the rumors. They woke up to erroneous claims by gossip Web sites and local media that the not-so-secret show — billed as the M+M’s — was off. Even when Britney’s tour bus arrived at the venue, there was still the chance that she might pull the plug at the last minute, as she did at an L.A. club last week. Warnings from venue staff that the show might only last a few minutes didn’t help bolster confidence, either.

Would she sing live or lip-synch, debut new material or stick with the old? None of that was of much concern. All that mattered to the diehards was their chance to see the enigmatic superstar in the flesh. Not much to ask, especially for those who paid upward of $200 for scalped tickets online.

At around 10 p.m. — three hours after doors opened — their hopes were realized. Lip-synching to a backing track of “… Baby One More Time,� Spears took the stage in a long brown wig, silver beaded bra, pleated white miniskirt and white boots. Her body newly toned and her smile beaming, she looked every bit like a woman who had emerged from her quarter-life crisis stronger than yesterday.

Last week’s OK! has an intriguing story on how Britney has suddenly realized that kids are WORK, yall! And they interfere with Mommy’s shopping time, dammit!

“Britney says she has too much going on with getting back to work on her album that her plate is too full to care for two kids,â€? a close friend of the singer tells OK!. “Both times she was pregnant, Kevin was partying all over town. Now, it’s her turn; she thinks it is time for him to be a dad.â€? Sean and Jayden live with their father about 80 percent of the time, with Britney getting them every other weekend. But, the friend says, “her agreement is that she’ll take over if he has something going on professionally…â€?
