Can Bad Decisions Be Considered An Addiction?

At first I didn’t think the rumor was true, and then the NY Post ran a report about it, which made me re-think my stance on rumors. Maybe there’s something to them, afterall.
You see, word is out that Jive, Britney Spears’ record label, had a big comeback planned for Britney. They had coordinated with Sexyback singer JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, and Britney’s hot ex that she never should have let go in the first place, as well as producer TIMBALAND to record a song with Britney. It would be a duet for JT and Brit, a song that Justin had supposedly written for Britney. And Britney backed out.
All Britney had to do was fly herself to Timbaland’s studio in Virginia Beach and record her part. THAT IS ALL. Whap-Bang-Boom, instant hit, famously executed comeback. But, of course, that was just too much for Britney Spears to handle. A source said:
“She’s looking for a comeback, and this would have not only been a huge hit, but something she could have opened the MTV Video Awards with and really blown everyone away.?
“Listen, everyone is worried. In her mind, her album is done and she’s done enough work . . . She’s an easy target right now, because she’s . . . sick. People like her are sick. It’s like an anorexic who’s sick in the head and needs help. She needs help. It’s sad because what she’s got - and we’ve heard it’s like bipolar disorder - can easily be treated with medication, but she won’t do it.?
It’s sad that Britney is allowing her life, her talent and her career to go down the drain. As the NY Post said, “This is about the single most positive thing that has happened in her life in a long time. I can’t understand why she would pass up recording an almost guaranteed hit with JT and Timbaland.”

She did that? Oh my. I would have gone through with that I were in her shoes. But then again, maybe I won’t especially if I were already thinking Britney’s thoughts.

I heard Kidd Kraddick talking about trying to organize this up a long time ago,and I thought that Justin would never be desperate enough to pull a publicity stunt like recording a duet with Britney, who would have thought that she would be the one to turn it down?

AtomicGirl: Dude, I don’t know what the deal is, but homegirl isn’t thinking straight. Also, I just heard a rumor that what I wrote was a rumor, and then I reasoned that OF COURSE Britney’s camp would spin this story as a rumor, because OF COURSE Britney wouldn’t be so stupid as to not record with JT. Then again, IT’S BRITNEY. ALL BETS ARE OFF. OR ON. OFF? WHAT?
Erica: For JT’s sake, I hope it’s not a publicity stunt. I hope it’s just him trying to help an old friend out.

JT seems like a nice guy…you always have a fondness for child lovers - I can imagine it’s worse when you’re in such a high-profile life. But for her to turn it DOWN?! Timbaland’s one of the hottest producers out there right now - she should’ve done it just to keep the contact with him!!
