Britney Spears has a shattered life. Her marriage, career and image have all been shattered in the last year. 2006 has not been good to the Britster.

And now? Britney has a shattered record.

Britney Spears’ hit ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ once held the record for the Fastest Selling Single. That record has now been broken by Leona Lewis.

Leona’s single ‘A moment Like This’ reached the number one position and sold 571,253 copies in its first week. It broke Britney’s record of 464,000 copies sold by more than one hundred thousand.

Ouch! That hurts, eh Brit?

Buck up ol’ girl. I’m still rooting for you to make a comeback!

  2. Meg Says:

Poor Brit. It would really do her some good to hang out with Mandy Moore and not so much with Paris Hilton…

  3. Jes Says:

Adrienne: Leona Lewis is the winner of XFactor, which is like the British version of American Idol.

Meg: I fear that Brit would totally ruin Mandy Moore, too.
