Britney Is Learning How To Parent Her Children

She already has two children, and now she’s learning how to parent them. This week, in an order handed down by the court, Britney Spears got the court-ordered version of a slap in the face. According to court documents, Britney must:
- Undergo random drug and alcohol testing TWICE each week
- Refrain from drinking alcohol or using drugs around her two sons or for 12 hours before she cares for them
- Meet with a “parenting coach” for eight hours a week (the coach will observe and report back to the court about Britney’s parenting skills)
- Cease “making derogatory remarks” about Kevin Federline in the presence of her children
- Stop “using corporal punishment” (most commonly known as spanking, I had to look that one up) to discipline her children
- Complete the court’s “Parenting Without Conflict” class
Of course, Kevin Federline also has to comply with some of these orders – namely, refraining from alcohol and drugs, not making derogatory remarks about Britney in front of the kiddos and not spank the children. Kevin must also complete the “Parenting Without Conflict” course.

I only want to comment generally that spanking, when used appropriately and not in anger or haste, can be a beneficial discipline tool.
Of course, in young children, it is most often ineffective.

Yeah! I thought they were just going to pull the children, which with Kevin as the other parent how is that good? But with both parents getting parenting classes and being held accountable to not being high around their kids - this is hopefully a step in the right direction for both of these people and ultimately for their children. Good job judge!
