Britney Is Hopeful About Regaining Custody
Us Magazine reports that today is “hard day” for Britney, but that she’s optimistic about regaining custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.
After losing custody of her children, dropping them off with Kevin Federline, tanning, and going to the DMV (to obtain a California driver’s license), Britney Spears checked into Beverly Hills’ Peninsula Hotel last night. Friend Sam Lufti was there with her and says that Britney’s feeling optimistic about regaining custody of her children.
“She is doing OK,” Lufti told Us Magazine. “It has been a rough day. She is feeling very optimistic about the future.”
A source close to Spears said that her optimism comes from the fact yesterday’s decision to give K-Fed custody was merely the result of some scheduling conflicts that kept Spears from taking her court-mandated drug tests. “There were scheduling conflicts and some errors in communication as to times and places for drug tests, etc., but they’re all squared away now,” the source says, continuing, “Britney is hoping the judge will reverse the order Wednesday, now that she is making steps to follow through with what they asked.”
Lufti has been taking care of the scheduling for Britney: “Sam is arranging for Britney to take drug tests. He’s arranging everything and getting it on track. Everyone is optimistic that she’ll get her kids back soon.” Lufti also took Spears to the DMV yesterday to help her get a valid California license. “Sam is a really good friend of Britney’s. He’s a really good guy all around. She respects him.”
Still, another friend of Spears’ has a different story about the 25-year-old pop-star’s mindset, telling Us, “She’s so scared. It’s her realest moment ever…She doesn’t know what to do.” The concerned friend adds, “She is going hit an all time low.”
I guess we’ll see what happens!

What’s that thing on her wrist? Is it a wrist brace, jewelery…or some concealer for having cut her wrists? I even zoomed in on it and I can’t figure it out.
