Britney Gets Visitation Rights, Nothing More

by

Yesterday was a tough day for Britney (though I love that hot pink bag, so there’s that).

Court Commissioner Scott Gordon denied her request (via her new attorney, Sorrell Trope) to reverse Monday’s order, which means that Kevin Federline will remain with temporary full-time custody of their two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

The Commissioner did grant Britney visitation rights, but the full, detailed order was not released by the time court closed yesterday. Britney still doesn’t know when, or how often, or under what circumstances, she’ll be able to spent time with her children. One court spokesman indicated that Britney would be allowed monitored visits every other day, but that’s not certain until the official order has been submitted by the Commissioner.

Kevin’s attorney made Kevin’s intentions known: “Kevin wants to maintain the custody that he has as long as he can.” Which, you know, totally makes sense because he wants to get as much money from Britney as he possibly can. It was HIS sperm that did all the work, you know.

kevin-smoking.jpgApparently Kevin showed up in a blue suit – Navy blue or royal blue or sky blue? I think this is an important question – with a black patch over a sore eye “to prevent glare.” Um, what? What is he talking about? Did I miss something? (Also, see picture to right. It was a light navy blue suit, as it seems.)

Jes’ predictions: Losing your kids to a guy who wears tube socks with flip flops and a patch over his eye is a little embarrassing. I would guess that Britney’s new lawyer is going to help clean up her image (for example, she’s already been issued a temporary California license as ordered by the court, and she’s in the process of scheduling her drug tests and parenting classes).

Still, I think that the coming weeks are going to be really hard for Britney, because for the first time in her life, someone is going to have to tell her what she has to do and she’s going to have to actually do it. In my haughty opinion, Britney has simply been told “no” too few times in her life.

I bet Britney was probably shocked to her very core when the judge didn’t give the kids back. I thought she was probably convinced that it would happen yesterday, and that’s why she was a no show at the hearing. 3 weeks til the next hearing. I wonder what she’s gonna do. I am not at all certain she can remain a good girl so long….and if she did, what on earth would us Britney watchers do, with no scandal to turn to each day??!?

Jeff, You’re right - what would we do with no scandal??? I guess there would be lots of…flashbacks. To Britney’s better days. Long live 2001! ;)
