Britney Builds Her Defense
On Britney’s official website, she has posted a defense for her recent bad-girl behavior related to her exposing herself, her late night partying and her relationships with other celebrities.
It reads:
It’s been so long since I’ve been out on the town with friends. I’s also been 2 years since I’ve even celebrated my birthday. Every move I make at this point has been magnified more than I expected, and I probably did take my new found freedom a little too far. Anyway, thank God for Victoria’s Secrets’ [sic] new underwear line! I look forward to a new year, new music and new me.
I’m just getting started….Happy Holidays everyone!

I started giggling when I read this because: It’s been so long since you’ve been out on the town with friends? Like, you mean since last night? Or is she referring to the period during which she was married to Kevin Federline?
And how can she NOT expect every move she makes to be magnified, when she purposefully doesn’t wear panties, and when she purposefully spreads her legs in front of dozens of photographers? Those maneuvers were MEANT to purposefully draw attention.
I’m also a little curious whether she’s struck some sort of deal with Victoria’s Secret by mentioning them? Or have they sent to her a few hundred pairs of underwear, just to keep her all covered up?
Either way, it seems like Brit Brit is finally catching on - her audience ranges from young, impressionable girls to grown adults. And mommy isn’t buying her precious daughter that new album unless Britney cleans up her act.
